Maynooth Chamber Choir

The National University of Ireland Maynooth Chamber Choir performed on St. Patick’s Day at Albany’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception as part of its first American tour.  For more about their tour go here.  The Choir’s web page is here. Here is a video excerpt of one of their offerings

On Monday the Choir was feted at a luncheon at the Museum.

The Cathedral’s soaring vault and the voices of the Choir complemented each other; in one selection the women moved down the aisle in the nave and the stereo effect was transcending.

Tommy Sands

After performing at The Eighth Step at GE Theatre at Proctor’s in Schenectady on March 10 as part of their current tour,  Ireland’s legendary singer-songwriter and peace activist Tommy Sands and is son Fionán took time to meet with local high school students.
