From its earliest inception the wealthy and politically connected have controlled who did or didn’t get alcohol in the city. Albany’s politico were often central to doling out the hooch! Be it through strong-arm tactics or regulation, controlling minorities, or paying off debts, alcohol was a useful tool to help maintain political control. That trend reaches back as far as the first Patroon and the early Dutch gentry. Loch and Quay Bar will have a special promotion for attendees of the Museum event. $3 attendance.
